Wynne joins the party

Wynne joins the party

For Helen and Scott, their dog Wynne was a cherished part of their family, and they had always planned for her to be part of their wedding ceremony. However, as their wedding day drew near, they realized they had forgotten to organize a cake topper to represent Wynne, who couldn't attend the reception.

While enjoying an evening at the 2023 Fringe, Helen and Scott stumbled upon Pawfect Love's stall at the Ebenezer Night Markets. When they saw the custom cake toppers on display, it struck them that this was the perfect way to include Wynne in their special day. Even though it was just two weeks before the wedding, they decided to ask if it was possible to get a custom topper made in time.

To their delight, Dani from Pawfect Love assured them it could be done. Given the tight timeline, they arranged for local pickup through a family member. Throughout the creation process, Dani kept Helen and Scott updated with progress photos and made minor adjustments to ensure the topper was perfect.

On the big day, Wynne made a joyful appearance at the ceremony, greeting her pawrents and delighting guests with her presence. The custom topper, featuring a small figurine of Wynne, was displayed on a simple heart-shaped single-tier cake by Cakes By The Cooks. The couple added a personalised sign around Wynne's neck with the message "I do too" and the wedding date, creating a cherished keepsake to display in their home.

The day was beautifully captured by Avie Photography and 22 Wedding Films. Reflecting on the experience, Helen shared, "Best way to spend your money!! We had our puppa at our ceremony, but couldn't have her at our reception. Having her as our cake topper was the most perfect way to include her in our entire day."
